This training is designed for firefighters,EMTs/Paramedics, and law enforcement personnel and includes guidance on how to identify characteristics or behaviors of people with disabilities and best practices to respond to those individuals. This training is provided by the Washoe County Health District for first responders working with persons with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. This publication is supported by the Nevada Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities through grant funds though the Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Administration for Children and Families CFDA #93.630.
