The workshop will incorporate adolescent implementation of Seeking Safety principles and trauma informed care strategies for working with co-occurring disordered youth in the juvenile justice system. At the conclusion of the workshop professionals will understand the impact of trauma on child development and learn how to effectively minimize its effects without causing additional trauma. This workshop is appropriate for addiction counselors, social workers and other behavioral health professionals.
