Complaints regarding boundary violations, misrepresentations, confidentiality, practice errors, or a lack of professionalism often germinate from a chasm in the client-counselor relationship. Statutory, administrative and ethical requirements along with common breaches from investigations will be discussed. At the end of the training behavioral health professionals will have the skills to find solutions and use proven methods to enhance the client alliance and improve outcomes for treatment. This workshop is appropriate for clinicians working with drug, alcohol, gambling and other addiction issues.
