Do you use or hear these statements regarding treatment planning? “It’s meaningless and time consuming. It’s never seen again or ignored in the treatment process. I copy the same plan and just change the name at the top of the form. All our clients go through the same program, so they have the same plan.” (Treatment Planning M.A.T.R.S, 2007) This workshop will consider the DSM-5, ASAM, recent research and clinical experience to consider effective and useful treatment planning for substance use and co-occurring disorders. We will consider best practices in meeting the needs of clients relating to their goals, their diagnosis and their treatment plan. This workshop is appropriate for addiction, behavioral and mental health professionals.
