Many behavioral health professionals deal with clients affected by unhealthy, addictive and co-dependent relationships. This workshop will offer tools to help clinicians recognize a client’s unhealthy addictive relationships, as well as tools to help the client recognize a relationship as unhealthy. We’ll discuss what factors complicate dealing with the situation, like substance abuse, mental illness, etc. Finally we’ll identify what tools a clinician can use to help the client end the unhealthy relationship or create a healthy relationship.
