In this training we will explore the theoretical foundation in the clinical assessment, prevention, treatment, and management of suicidal risk over time through treatment with suicidal persons. In addition, participants will be provided instruction in “evidenced-based” and “best practices” for treatment and case management of the suicidal person. This will include coordination of services, and a review of how and when steps must be taken to refer suicidal persons and how to make the appropriate referrals. This workshop is appropriate for social workers, counselors and other behavioral health professionals.
