In this course, participants will discuss and practice resolving these and other ethical issues within the contact of the ethical standards in the Nevada Administrative code (9NAC) 641C. These standards also will be compared to the ethical standards of other mental health practitioners and professional groups. This workshop includes the ethical code for Marriage and Family Counselors (MFT's). This workshop also includes the ethical code for licensed and certified alcohol and drug counselors,along with a review of NAADAC's ethical code. FASD Part 3: Biological Effects of Alcohol on Fetus - Screen, Diagnose, Assess This workshop will cover the models of addiction, biological effects of alcohol on the fetus and screening. The participant will be able to apply concepts and models of addiction to women of childbearing age, including those who are pregnant, to provide appropriate prevention services, referral, and case management. Additionally, participants will learn to describe the effects of alcohol on the developing embryo and fetus. Lastly, participants will learn practical applications for screening, diagnosing, and assessing infants, children, adolescents, and adults for FAS and other prenatal alcohol-related disorders.
