Registration: Mindfulness and it's Role in Recovery - Online Video
Mindfulness is on a tipping point and being widely talked about by scientists, doctors, and celebrities. There are many benefits of practicing mindfulness, and research that supports its usefulness in long-term recovery; but there are important factors that must be addressed in order for this practice to be helpful rather than harmful. This workshop will describe mindfulness, the neuroscience that supports its use, participant screening, instructor qualifications, program resources and other modifications that should be considered in order to have a positive impact in recovery.
