This workshop will be in three parts: how cannabinoids can be used and abused recreationally, their potential for medical benefits, and “synthetic marijuana.” Information on the effects of cannabinoids, tolerance, dependence-withdrawal, the “use, misuse, abuse, and addiction” continuum, and treatment approaches will also be presented. Participants will leave the workshop with up-to-date information on medical and recreational marijuana uses and abuses, and current treatment approaches.
