A training for Clinical staff to facilitate ​substance use disorder assessments in the​ir​ agenc​ies​. Managed care companies, treatment providers, and program evaluators use ​the addiction severity index and ​patient placement criteria to ensure that clients are ​referred in​to​ the appropriate level of care. By the end of the workshop, participants will: - become familiar with the ​ASI domains, and ASAM ​patient placement criteria for clients with substance use disorders, adopted by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. - Review admission, continued stay and discharge criteria or both adults and adolescents. This workshop is appropriate for addiction counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists and probation/parole officers.
